I wish I had George's good looks. But I do have more hair.

When our customers are slow to pay like that or have bad credit, we have them prepay.

my wife says business has dropped off last few months. nobody has any money. basically a lot of working poor. (or so they claim. probably overspend on transport and comms)

As a doctor myself I know that we don’t always get paid
This seems weird. The only time I don't have to pay the (allergy doc, orthopedic, vision, cardiologist, etc.) before appointment starts is with Amazon's OneMedical. I'll get a nominal bill for under $20 a month after a visit.
It's been 90% pre-pay for what seems like a decade.

If you pay a salesman commission based on invoice date then they have no incentive to even attempt to help accounting collect over due invoices.
We swapped over from pay-on-invoice to pay-on-pay about a year ago. There were some hurdles to overcome and a good deal of groaning from a lot of our sales rep. But you are right that it really motivates your sales team to help on collections.

Yes, we means the management team that I’m a part of at the company I work for. Not sure why that bothers you so much. Are you needing some attention as you usually are when you start your shite?

Do you want your sales reps to be sales reps or collection agents?
They can make a phone call or two.

Yeah, you thinking you have any decision making power. You’re a local middle manager

Did I say I made the decision? That. comes from VP level. I was on the management team that ran the project to swap though.
You seem very insure. Why is that?
ETA: also, if you’re going to make claims on what I am, at least get it right. I’m corporate level, not local.

A lot of businesses are experiencing a similar thing. What always cracks me up is when my AR team reaches out to a customer 90+ days past due and are told “I’ll have to call you when I get back in town. I’m on vacation.”
So you have money for vacation, new vehicles, equip, boats, etc. but can’t pay. Then I’m the a-hole when we send them to collections or file liens.

“You now get paid on collections, don’t get pissed at me, that came from management”
Real thought provoking shite Darth

Why does that upset you so much?

It doesn’t. It upsets you that you tried to play it off like you had anything to do with it other than being a middle manager messenger and I called you on it.
