Though I agree with eliminating cigs you kinda got them with that one.

Not really. When someone drinks a soda or eats junk food, they are not puffing putrid cig smoke into the air.

The health effects might be a wash but the effects me when I'm around a smoker vs. someone eating junk is not.

Only makes sense. Hypocritical to sell them in a pharmacy don't you think?

I don't care if places sell it, I just don't want to have to smell like it.

if the store wants to choose not to, so be it.

if its government saying they arent allowed to, then id think its a bit much (as is the case in a few of the examples).

CVS will lose money.

Don't bet on this. Companies don't make decisions like this on a whim. There has been much thought and planning on how to offset the loss of sales/profits in this action. That they are ready to pull the trigger just means they are satisfied it will be a non-losing endeavor.

Smoking is deadly for the smoker, and for those who are exposed to their second and third hand smoke. Me, I'm glad that if smokers don't have the will to quit, that CVS has the will to quit selling the product to them.

Thirdhand smoke

Again

And finally

When I am around chain-smoking family members whose cars and homes and clothing and hair literally reek of tobacco/nicotine stench. And I generally don't go anywhere (bars, open air restaurants, etc.) where smoking is allowed. I'm not just a prima donna about this; it really does make me feel sick when I'm around it any amount of time.

Bars, Casinos.

Honestly customers houses I hate the most.

But I can't do anything but just be a mouth breather around it.

I'm told I'm a hypocrite because I smoke pot.
But when I do, it's in my vented room in the way back of my garage around no body.

No it isn't

If you believe that "thirdhand smoke" is as deadly as smoking yourself (as your link claims), then you are flat out fricking stupid.

Oh, what a relief. I am so glad you know more than the Mayo Clinic and so many other leading specialists who spend their lives dealing with the collateral damage smokers cause. BTW, I'm guessing you're a smoker, or were...

I just don't think there is a point to worry about things that have a very small chance of killing me.

Edit: I am not a smoke but have smoked cigs before. I just value personal freedom

Don't be fooled. They are just clearing shelf space for when they start selling pot.

Hey that's so helpful. Only help me understand why my lungs and throat immediately constrict when I'm around 2nd or 3rd hand tobacco smoke for more than a minute and start feeling sick. Or why I can smell smoke in no-smoking rooms at motels and start feeling sick in the middle of the night. Or why I just refuse to put my respiratory system through this kind of abuse, and have never smoked. Not even once. Of course, you don't realize I had two chain-smoking parents, one who died of heart disease and diabetes, the other from COPD complications.
