that's an impressive looking cat 1 storm.

hmm the northerly track of the gfdl and hwrf could cause some problems as they allow some of the remnants to survive the shear.
I think the GFDL especially is too bullish though

Fixing to call a tree guy and have him cut down some older bleak looking trees. Not trying to chance a tree falling on a house that we are looking to sell soon.

I went to bed pretty confident that this storm would amount to nothing but looking at the models this morning I'm a little more concerned. Every one of them seems to be underintializing the storm... probably due to its small size relative to the model gridpoints... so they may be underestimating its resilience to the shear and dry air it's about to encounter.
both the GFS and the ECMWF now have the shear dying down in the next 72 hours but the environment remains pretty dry.
with several models hinting at a track north of the puerto rico/hispaniola speed bumps, that means the only thing left to kill the storm is dry air. Dry air of course can do a lot to kill the storm but if Danny continues to intensify before it gets to about 55W it has a shot at making it through.
The consolation is that the environment never really gets moist enough along the northerly track for Danny to redevelop.

God you are a fool. You couldn't predict your way out of a fake trailer fire.

Danny wont make it into the gulf. I'm surprised this thread is still going honestly. It will dissipate or turn north before it gets to FL.
Nothing to see here.

The winds and pressure are finally catching up to the organization. Danny looks pretty nice. It's a tiny little storm.

Isn't it going to lose strength when it rapes Jamaica and Cuba and all those poors?

Hispaniola is the island that wrecks Hurricanes. It's mountainous and destroys the circulation. Or Sammy Sosa stands outside and says you shall not pass.
Cuba is flat and doesn't do as much damage.
