Getting suited up to go make the pipe check rounds. It feels like elk hunting outside. Never thought I'd see it this cold and this windy at the same time here. Usually it has to be dead calm perfectly clear to get past the mid 20's here.

I just zipped up the insulated coveralls to take the old Frenchie outside for her morning piss (she’s blind and pretty fragile ). Wasn’t as bad as I thought until I went around the carport and the wind hit. That was impressive.

Shreveport airport has reached 10. Monroe airport is at 12. 10.9 where I am. Another hour or so to keep dropping.

You're colder than me, near Leadville, this morning.

Got 11.5 on the board.

My truck has a block heater and a grille cover. I remember thinking "I'll never use this" when I bought it.

Now I'm all sitting in my already warmed up truck.

I was trying to tell a co worker that when this blows through its going to be very dry. She was under the impression that it doesnt matter and there will be a block of ice on her windshield just because its under 20. I didnt want to go into the whole thing about moisture in the atmosphere so I just left it alone.

Anyone know when BR hit freezing?
Anyone know if the High Pressure system exceeded 1064 up north?

Yeah I just expected the pasture to be white because everything was still soaking wet at midnight.
