1. I can assure that not even under the most dire circumstances for the smallest amount of time will I or my wife ever leave our children unattended with someone we dont know unless there's a video feed (ie daycare)
2. If someone did something like this to my child, yes I would do something to the person that harmed them. From the sadistic things that come to my mind just thinking about this situation, im pretty sure I would end up in jail.
3. If people were given carte blanche to hand out vigilante justice to sex offenders, I would definitely throw stones at this guy.

See, I don't understand why people are so opposed to chemical castration for people like these. Other than throwing them in jail and throwing away the key, what other punishment is suitable? If they can't control their urges, find a way to control it for them.

That would stop any sexual release, but they'd probably still molest kids and just be shifty citizens in general. I highly doubt castration would turn them into reformed model citizens overnight. It's on the same lines as rapists where they rape for power instead of sex.
I'm just amazed at the short jail times that these criminals get compared to armed robbers and murderers.

That guy used to live right down the street from me in my old neighborhood. Had 2 kids and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Makes me cringe to think he was that close.
