Yeah. They are old and anything that looks sketchy goes into to trash.

If it ain't labeled, and you've seen it in the freezer or fridge two holidays in a row, it needs to go.

This. I would go to Mansura to help out my now late father-in-law and one of the first things I'd do was take inventory or the fridge and pantry. I'd often be there for several days if he was ill or had projects around the house and property.

I can't tell you how many times I'd find bacon or cold cuts in the fridge that had to be 3 weeks past their "use by" date and smelling rank or already cooked food that had gone off.

My parents have seemingly overfilled the indoor and outdoor fridge with just condiments and otherwise non-substantive items. It makes no sense.

No kidding. I refuse to eat anything from my parents' fridge.

My folks are getting older and I’ve started noticing a lot of expired stuff.

I pointed it out once and it caused a big fall out and kind of embarrassed them when half the family suddenly was hesitant to eat.

So I just raid it now and discreetly throw away expired stuff and offer to run to the store for shredded cheese when my mom swears she had half a bag left.
