I only pump my own gas if I'm out of town without my husband. It's a little thing but I love him for it. If I'm away visiting my daughter, her husband will pump it for me.

No, I have learned to be proactive rather than reactive.

Most every car built in last 10 years show you exactly how many miles you have until empty.

Most every car also has a GPS.

Yet this is a think now for idiots when it wast when people had neither.

What is wrong with people

I drove from North Carolina to New Jersey yesterday. It ain't that hard to keep fuel in your car and you. Oh look, it's time for a break. Gas, bathroom, drink, snacks, repeat as needed until destination is reached.

Start with a full tank. Drive for 3-4-hrs. Stop for 10mins , pump another tank, take a leak. That's if you have a big gas guzzler. One stop for a 6hr road trip. It's not that hard.

No, I usually fill up when it hits a quarter of a tank.

I drive a newer Ford Escape. Damn thing gets 37 miles per gallon. Fills up with 13 gallons of gas and at 2.17 a gallon, that is less than 30 dollars to fill up. That also gives me about 500 miles of range which is enough to drive to Biloxi and back and last me for another week driving to and from work.

What are you driving, baw?

My F-250 gets 19-20 pretty easily.

That means if I keep it 20.7 years that diesel pays for itself!
