At least 50% of the "new" movies coming out are remakes or sequels anyway. No more original concepts or creativity.

I generally look for artists I like. Stories that need to be seen(Beautiful Boy is relatable to the times, just like Whiskey Myers' song Broken window). Brian Craston and Jason Bateman put out good stuff. Jeff Bridges is always stellar. There's enough content out there to find stuff you like.

I don't see myself ever going back to a theatre though.

Hollywood has no creativity anymore, it's like they tapped out on originality.

Super good point. Moving from theatre and cable viewing to streaming has opened up this massive library of content that we wouldn't have discovered otherwise. Same has happened to me with music streaming...I've discovered so much good stuff on spotify by browsing.

Couple mainstream Hollywood content with just not being satisfying anymore with the hassle and price, and it's easy to see why it's dying a quick death.

Hollywood rarely makes a movie that I like.

And I can predict most of their plots.

- The bad guy is always a white straight male or a corporation "evilcorp"....rarely a government entity.

- If there is a female lead, she is smarter and more insightful than the male counterparts, who must act like a bumbling fool EVERY TIME. This also happens in commercials, not just movies.

- If a character is from the south, they are are stereotypical rednecks and bad human beings to their core.

The End

Either that or the whole movie is in the fantasy realm and doesn't really relate to me in any way.
