Cops are pigs. Never believe anything they say. Period. Most of them have never graduated college for gods sake

I agree

How can you have any integrity when you will arrest me for a crime but when another cop does it you look the other way?

I agree

I have never seen a tv show where IA was not considered a dirty thing. This may just be a tv thing,

This is a TV thing.

IA also protects the officer from bullshite complaints and witch hunts by unfair supervisors.

As a detective, if you are dirty, you have more fear of me because my investigations are criminal and can result in arrests. IA investigations are administrative and cannot be used in criminal proceedings.

I did not know this.
How often have you investigated/arrested a dirty cop. I mean a cop that abused his power with the citizens?

Not something you ever hear much of.

I've arrested 4 cops in my career.
-1 for having sex with a female inmate
-1 for theft and forgery
-1 for theft
-1 for conspiracy to distribute narcotics

I've also worked 3 other investigations in which it was determined that the officer did not commit of crime but did break numerous policies and procedures which they were in turn terminated.

abuse of power gets into civil rights which often times gets forwarded to Feds.

So, local PD had no jurisdiction over their own cops for wrongful shooting or assaults ect...

I understand your post and do not disagree. However, don't you think a less educated police force is more likely to be more likely to be abusive of it's powers?

Cannot justify that thought at the moment, but it is what I think right now.

Like I said, just a bunch of criminals in here. I bet the total arrests in this thread is pretty high.

The definition of a pig.

I've seen some good and bad posts from both sides in this debate, but you are a joke and one of the many reason cops have such a bad name.

Got charged with the same thing when I told my cousin the exact same thing. DA dropped the charge, but still had to go to court and let my lawyer talk with them.

Until you request a lawyer.

Then you get processed and have to wait at least six hours until bail is made.

Also get denied a doctor for a blood test.

But hey, dwis and police are all about following the law.

Probably one of the dumbest posts I've seen on a message board.

WTF does graduating college have to do with being a good cop?

Pretty sure this lawyer jumped out the passenger side and started giving unsolicited legal advice. And like I mentioned earlier, it don't matter if the passenger is a cop, judge, lawyer, etc. If he or she exits the car and approaches the cop and driver without permission, it's taze-30.

I cannot, with a great amount of time and words, sum up the complete, stark, tremendous, collosal stupidity of crimsonian. And I am very good with words and have lots of time right now.

Graduating college has zero to do with being a cop, but it can be said that those who become cops aren't significantly educated.

Not being educated and partaking in a job which requires a large amount of legal memorization and critical thinking can cause problems.

That is just one of the many issues Scruffy has with the police force. Their general level of education/intelligence.

I would have never guessed you have a problem with police, considering every cop thread you come off as a whiny bitch.
