the immigration stuff.
While I totally agree with his sentiments on immigration, he sometimes lacks some finesse. Now we have a killer who used illegal immigration as his motivation and it's just going to make this whole issue complicated.
A simple issue that I think most Americans agree with will now muddied.
So because a wacko does something stupid it should dictate policy in this country and we should let anyone have unfettered access to our country as long as they want to crawl across the southern border?

no. not at all.
We need to address illegal immigration and I think it's a winning issue for Trump. This shooting however, makes the messaging harder. The left will say that Trump's rhetoric influenced this crazy mofo and try to embarrass Trump's ability to make the case.
Since Trump is not real good at finessing his message, he's going to struggle to get around this shooting in making his case.
Had it not happened, he could have just kept on in the same style he's always used and coasted to victory imo.
As far as policy goes, I said it before and will say it again, Trump (or any president) has a responsibility to address issues that impact safety. Mass killings, drug violence, black on black crime, all impact safety and I think he, as leader, should be the one to bring the ideas to the table and address killing.

He almost immediately tweeted about El Paso.
Meanwhile his potential future Democratic opponents held press conferences crying and attempting to rile up the public using keywords like : immigrants, racism, hate, epidemic, white nationalist.
And the media ran with it and will for the next 3 months. But loud mouth Orange man BAD

Unfortunately, the racist POS El Paso shooter didn’t just point a finger.

Now if it was Muslims shooting up people in the USA, imagine what would be said on this site and how quickly the problem could be solved.
Yall need to do something about these white supremacists, not only in America but also here overseas.

Curious as to why the El Paso scene is taking so long to go thru, apparently the families still dont know who was killed. I get that less people were killed in Dayton but they got it all sorted out rather quickly.
Posted on 8/4/19 at 4:10 pm to BoyHowdy
Dayton doesn't have to worry about a criminal case

Anyone figure out why he drove all the way to El Paso? A national security reporter said there was a reason and she was trying to confirm.
