This thread started off bad and only got worse.
Ya'll didn't even date, you got curved and deserve to feel ashamed.
The good news is that you will always have a job over at Petco with the rest of the Betas.

I dated a girl at work for 6 months (25 years ago), we fell in love, she said sh was getting scared and wanted to "slow it down", so she pulled back and it was really tough, I didn't know how to handle the situation, I soon realized our relationship was built more on lust and attraction than true love. we soon broke up
after that experience I promised myself never ever date someone I worked with...because everyone in the office likes to talk and it's just real uncomfortable in the beginning and if doesn't work out, and then you have to see this person everyday or whatever, oh yeah, no fun.
I moved to NC a year later after that break up, met another girl at work, dated briefly, and couldn't bring myself to go all in though I really wanted to...again, the girl everyone in the office wanted to sleep with.
then I became a Christian, met my wife in church and 21 years later, we're still happy and our love for one another still grows more and more each day.
my advice is be careful in the work place, if it's meant to be I guess it will happen, plenty of people date and end up getting married to a person they met at work, in fact my niece just got engaged to a co worker. very happy for her.
