What is the "moderate" approach?

Abandon some areas of the country to rioters and anarchists - allow Minnesota to secede?
Let me be clear, I have long been a proponent of the legality and constitutionality of secession and if that is the end result of this, fine let's get this party started.
But to the extent the Union is in fact permanent, then the national government has zero choice here and there is no middle ground.

For those point out no jurisdiction for Fed Courts, I know. I pointed that out when Kelly said he filed a lawsuit against Hegseth over it.
That said, there are a multitude of cases under Trump 2.0 where federal courta have ruled in cases where there was no jurisdiction (most recently, the Hamdi case).
