It' doesn't usually get that cold down here, but If I lived in North Louisiana or higher, I would definitely have me one or two of those ventless kerosene heaters in the attic or garage for emergencies like this. And I'd tell that HOA they can get fricked, its an emergency situation.

HOA is nothing more than a pyramid scheme. They’ll never follow thru on fines and damn sure won’t put a lien on your home. I went to war with mine 3 years ago and eventually just stopped paying my dues. Haven’t paid a dime to them in 3 years and they’re not going to do shite.

Depends on the HOA. Our Board regularly grants exceptions to the CCR/ACC guidelines (because some are stupid), and we go out of our way to shut the Karens down when they complain about stupid shite.
