We cook with butter frequently. No fatties in our house.
My understanding from discussions with physicians and researchers is that adding butter to toast, biscuits, other carbs slows their digestion, and helps prevent blood sugar spikes, which can be a factor in diabetes and obesity. Butter and other fats are harder to digest and are not rapidly digested, and difficult to store as fats in your system. They can of course affect your arteries which should be monitored.

BUTTER Are you fricking retarded?
Obsessed is more accurate. Including all natural sugar when the photos posted show decades of skinny people when the only sweetener was sugar and honey. The food was full of real sugar before 1970-ish, more so than now.
My hypothesis is the shift to corn. Corn is used in farming/cattle to fatten up the livestock for slaughter/market. Sounds exactly like what our unelected officials have planned to accomplish.

While you are absolutely right and I agree with everything... You sure seemed worked up with this

That’s how they taught me to make sweet tea at J Alexander’s.

This is objectively false. The data clearly shows that our rising consumption of things like seed oils, high fructose corn syrup, simple carbohydrates (and carbs as a whole) directly coincide with rising obesity, diabetes, etc. rates. It's absolutely the problem: the ingredients in our food.
Every day Americans eat millions of pounds of food containing ingredients that are banned from consumption the world over.
For decades the government told us we needed over twice the servings per day of rice, grain, breads and pasta as we needed fruit and vegetables. Those foods, by the way, contain some of the highest levels of pesticides as any other food, and they load up Americans with carbohydrates they don't need working their 9 to 5 desk job.
It's laughable how wrong we as a developed, western civilization got it for decades regarding a healthy diet. Growing up, they demonized real butter and animal fats, and told us to eat the much healthier vegetable oil spread. That type of mentality in our society hasn't worked out so well for us, but at least now we can get accurate information instead of relying on a captured government bureaucracy to dictate what's "healthy." The government won't act on toxic ingredients because that's not in the best interest of their donors in big food and agriculture. We have to act with our wallets, but it won't happen overnight.
How does this get downvoted??? Everything in it is factually correct. It’s not debatable. It’s not the posters opinion.

You don’t need to eat a full meal 3 times a day.
It’s actually better to eat 4-5 small meals throughout the day than stuffing yourself twice a day even if the caloric value is the same

It’s really the seed oils that are added to everything from bread to barbecue sauce.

Not that we don’t have a food problem(we 100% do), but your approach here is completely wrong and lacks factual understanding. If your goal is to actually help people, fat shaming has the opposite influence on those with the disease of obesity. Screaming and ridiculing people with the disease of obesity WILL NOT help them get healthier. Period.
The biggest driver of obesity is a deficiency in GLP-1(a naturally occurring hormone) in the body. It is the hormone that regulates the sensation of hunger. Fat shaming simply doesn’t change that hormonal deficiency. Fat shaming does decrease people’s self esteem, confidence, and hope. Those things actually further drive the sensation of hunger through psychological impact. So, you are actually making it worse with your approach.
The GLP-1 agonists, that are now insanely popular, help increase the presence of GLP-1 to normal levels where hunger is regulated properly like in people that do not have the disease of obesity. So many have turned to the meds because they actually work. Being fat shamed doesn’t work. If fat shaming did work, several decades of it should have provided the results by now, right? Duh. It’s not an issue of will power. Sure, if someone starves themselves, they will lose weight. But that is simply not sustainable and leads to the yo yo effect. The driver of the root issue needs to be corrected. That’s what these meds are doing. Sure, some people have a strong enough will power to overcome incredible sensations of hunger and lose weight through other means, but we 100% know that the vast majority of people CANNOT do that. Obesity is a complex and perpetual disease. It isn’t simple or narrow in scope. Treating it should have a comprehensive approach that involves meds or surgery(both change the body chemistry) and lifestyle changes(including exercise, avoiding shite food, and support systems).
Think about your air conditioning system. When the thermostat recognizes it’s getting too warm it kicks on and pumps cold air until the temperature falls within the set range. All is well and comfortable. If it stopped regulating the temperature the way you set it because there is freon deficiency, would you yell at the thermostat until it magically started pumping colder air and regulating? Of course not. It’s the exact same thing with obesity. Change your approach, if you actually want to help people.
FYI, what I have presented are not my opinions. These are facts that are beyond reproach in the informed medical community. And don’t misconstrue what I am saying. I 100% believe people need to be held accountable for things they CAN control. Like seeking medical help for the disease of obesity. Agreeing to do something to get GLP-1 levels to normal ranges. Committing to eating healthier and exercising more once the hormones are regulated. Sure, the sugar in the video is ridiculous. Your response to it is arguably far worse, though.
If your goal is to actually help people, educate yourself and change your approach entirely. If your goal is no more than to be an arsehole on a message board behind the cloak of anonymity, then carry on. You are currently accomplishing that goal.

There’s nothing wrong with butter provided it is real actual butter not with a bunch of fake additives.

People don't have an Ozempic deficiency. They are overfed on food that is engineered to create addiction to said food. The problem is in the head. It's a dopamine feedback loop that is creating a crisis in the world.
Diets need to change back to real food and people need to spend less time on a screen.

Real butter isn't a problem. Sugar is the biggest issue.
