I like a good sweet potato crunch (dessert acting like a veggie dish) and I eat a little bit of it with bites of fried turkey. Money.

My mother's sweet potato casserole with a brown sugar pecan topping.
She's been gone 3 1/2 years now, I still crave it this time of year

Thanksgiving is not complete for me unless I have some of my dad's oyster dressing topped with giblet gravy and a slice of dad's smoked turkey.

My deep fried turkey followed up by my crockpot stuffing. I bake the bread for it from scratch and it damn near tastes like stuffing before it even goes into the crockpot.

My dad died in February. His dish was fried turkey. I don’t like turkey but I’d give anything to eat his again
My favorite dish is hands down cornbread dressing. Second is the traditional green bean casserole that everyone hates with the cream of mushroom soup and french’s Fried onions

It WAS spinach madeline until the officials over in Hoover forced Kraft to remove jalepeno cheese from the shelves, thus ruining the recipe.

You have to use Mexican Velveeta.
It’s pretty close.
Another case of Velveeta saving the day.

Cornbread dressing, but I’ve learned that not all cornbread dressing is created equal. I grew up eating my Mom’s cornbread dressing, so when I got married I was introduced to cornbread dressing that was made with breakfast sausage and some shite. They all swore by it. It was God awful! Glad she’s my ex wife for that reason alone.
I get my sister to make my mom’s cornbread dressing every year because she is the only one who gets it close.
