Semaglutide oral tablets have been available. It's a new marketing campaign. It's easier to take the shot. It's so tiresome to explain.

South Louisiana (the makeup of this board) is mostly little skinny fricks, moderate overweight as in chubby boys or barrel chest rednecks, and big fat people.
I’m a chubby not muscular fat boy. I bet half the OT is worse off than me. Fat boomers and fat boys screaming at the sky.

Oral meds subject the liver to stress. A 31 gauge needle is less than a mosquito bite.

"Big Pharma Sucks. Health Insurance companies suck."
"Oh, there's a pill for that?"

No...it's not.
It is however becoming more expensive but no, outcomes are not improving.

I’m currently as fat as I’ve ever been- disgusting specimen at the moment
I started running again this week after not running in over a year- and I’m packing my lunch every day
I’m willing to bet my weight loss will be far healthier than whatever chemical I could inject into my body

What’s wild to me is this new oral semaglutide pill NovoNordisk got approved is up to a 25mg pill vs the Rybelsus (for type 2 diabetes) is max up to 14mg pill.
So it’s okay to increase the dosage by 78.5% if you want to use it to lose weight but for people with type 2 diabetes they’re capped at 14mg… interesting.
Also, the name of the pill “Wegovy” is hilarious to me. It sounds reminiscent to those on government subsidies looking for handouts, not putting in any effort and just want immediate gratification.
“You look great, what are you doing to shed those pounds?”
“Absolutely nothing. I am on WeGovyyyyy!”

Part of the reason people’s mental health is so bad, even if they’re on this shite they still eat like shite and don’t push themselves physically.
Were made to work, not shove bon bons in our mouth and watch Secret Lives of Mormon Wives
If we're relatively fit, can we still watch the Mormon Wives without feeling guilty?
Asking for a friend.

I think its at the point of the risk of taking GLP-1 is lower than the risk by not doing anything. If you are a total fat slob and can't curb the diet or get at least light exercise in to see weight loss results, then by all means get on the drug.
Yep. Being morbidly obese is a certain path to pain and suffering and ultimately an early death.
Someone once said you don't see too many fat old folks.
Someone recommended an alternative to these GLP-1 drugs is berberine.
Now that is interesting. It's been around for thousands of years.
I talk to folks everyday about some form of health and most want to stuff their fat faces with crap junk food, sugars and dirty carbs and expect a magic pill to make them better.
One guy on YouTube said it best. Quit eating C.R.A.P.
C: Carbs and sugars along with HFC
R: Rancid oils like soybean, canola, corn, sunflower...
A: Artificial Ingredients
P: Processed foods, especially Ultra-processed foods

Only problem I ever had with it is all the people using it and not changing anything about the way we live. I know 4-5 people taking it (that I’m aware of) and not a single one has changed their eating habits or exercises. It’s supposed to be a means to an end. Nah it’s just a means to a means

Stop being a bitch and get in the gym. Lack of movement is a far greater risk than almost anything you put in your mouth.
Thats only half of the equation. Yep, we have a bunch of lazy idiots who want an easy solution (like a pill or an injection) to eating garbage food every day.
You don't put sludge into your vehicles fuel tank. You want the good high octane for your engine.
Same with our bodies. Put sludge in it every day, month after month, year after year and then we wonder why there is all kinds of sickness like diabetes, coronary disease, cancers...
Garbage in, garbage out.
