How old are you then boy? What life experience do you have to qualify you to be a man? How many bastards you got running around?

You ever seen a man eat his own head?

Maybe you should post some positive stories every now and then.

It's human nature. But for some reason, people believe that Mike stopped running and decided to turn around a run directly into gun fire.

Some reason...... Can't imagine what that would be. Perhaps forensic evidence and eyewitness testimonial.

Whatever man. We don't run from police and then turn around with a change of heart and just sprint to our deaths. You can believe it, but I don't.

Wilson's testimony is obviously biased. So is Dorian and the other cop-hating members of the community who were supposedly witness to the event. But what bias did the guy captured in a Youtube video giving an account of Mike Brown turning around and rushing the officer have? That was right after and before it turned politicized. You think he just made that up? Guy in his community got shot in the back by police running away and instead of that incredibly dramatic story, he's making outlandish shite up that happens to support both Wilson's account and forensic evidence?

i'll wait.

Who said that it turned him into the angry hulk?

There is evidence to back this up, right? A lot of it. Including Dorian Johnson's testimony. And physical evidence as well.

That's what almost every witness said. But you, who didn't see it, are sure it didn't happen.

You do realize that we were not allowed to get a proper education for a very long time right? This led to us being stuck in rough high poverty neighborhoods. Were just getting over this hump.

Man... We're coming from the same boat but we're going a completely different direction.

You do realize my dad is a surviving son of a 8 person family from war-stricken South Korea? My aunt (oldest sibling) watched 4 of her brothers die from starvation before my dad's older brother survived, then my father, then his little brother? Education in post war Korea? LOL. Poverty? SOUTH KOREA needed bailout money much less its citizens. Coming to America without knowing a lick of English? Better put up with it, learn it, and deal with "Ching ching ting long" remarks all day.

You know what though? Our family has overcome every single one of those obstacles. We've worked 24/7. We got A's and studied extra when all our friends wanted to hang out. We've learned English (well, my dad and mom are still getting the hang of it ). My dad didn't get to go back home to visit his mom for 10 years because he was saving money. We lived in the ghetto while we saved, and saved, and saved. As a result, we've completely changed the course of our family's supposed destiny in one generation. This story is not just our family either. This is Korea. This is what black America needs to do. Stop marching, and start working.

Forensic evidence that was handled by his peers. The cop was allowed to deposit his own firearm into evidence and also wipe himself off. Think about that for a second.

Ohh these eye-witnesses? LINK

Good on you man.

However small, you've got to be a catalyst in the correct direction. Take along all your friends for the ride to success, and hopefully they take their friends too. Ripple effect

No more "woe is me" attitude.

How so?

Treat criminals with more respect than LE. Seems like a symptom of a broken culture.

It also perpetuates the idea that cops are the enemy.

No straw man there, sir.

And just to explain how it looks to an outsider, it hilarious.

Which of course addresses nothing I posted. However, those doing the looting such are not doing a thing to help their cause. Looting a liquor store is not about justice or raising awareness. It's just flat out stealing & trying to church it up.

That actually is a good point. I would assume it takes a bit more than one generation

No, it really doesn't.

I'll start with a humble-brag: I am in one of the very best graduate programs in the world in my field. About 1/3 of my class are first-generation (like still have heavy accents to the point where I can't understand them somtimes) South Asians. Another 1/5th or 1/6 of the class is first-generation East Asian. Whites are maybe a 1/3 or 40% of the rest of the class, though even there, there are a lot of Jews, Irish, Italians, etc. This is a university and program that would kill villages worth of small children to have more than the half dozen or so African-Americans who are qualified every year to come here.

Adapt, die, or frick off. One of the great blessings of the United States is that ethnic groups have largely been able to let go of the hatred and hubris of tribalism and ethnocentricism that dominates the rest of the world. I'd rather not have us turn towards 2014 Syria or 1915 Turkey with regards to this crap. Virtually every ethnic group in the world has been discriminated against, enslaved, tortured, and so forth at some point in its history. That matters for shite to me in the United States in in 2015.

Black blinders? You probably believe that every single cop has integrity and honor don't you? Did you see the video of Walter Scott being shot by a cop in South Carolina? Do you know that he had the chance to confess about what he did, but instead chose to lie and rearrange the crime scene? It's only because someone was secretly filming him that the world got to see that he shot that man while he was running away.

I remember when they secretly replaced my coffee with Folgers.

My mom graduated in the first integrated class in Leflore County Public school system which was one of the most racist and discriminatory counties in Mississipp (its the county were Emit Teal was murdered if you need a memory jog) and that was the class of 1967 or 1968 (can't remember off the top of my head). Even if you subtract 12 years for those being integrated in kindergarden. That means that any african american that graduated high school after 1980 received the same public education as a white graduate. That was 35 years ago.

It does not take multiple generations it takes one generation and the culture to allow it to take place, I know because I am a product of such. My grandparents were what the OT and society would call poor white trash, but my grandfather who barely graduated HS made his kids do their homework every night, even after working 14 hours in a cotton field and all 3 of his kids graduated college and 2 got college degrees. The one who didn't got a tech degree and worked his butt up and in the matter of one generation or about 20 years they went from poor white trash who didn't even have running water or electricity until the 1970s to middle class and now even higher. My grandfather had 7 grandkids, 1 became a lawyer, 1 is a PT making over $100K/yr, 2 have college degrees and work in the ag industry and make well over $150K/yr, 1 is a current medical student (thats me), 1 is a nurse practionier, and well one is currently in prison for selling drugs (somebody had to keep the family's history alive). My grandparents had very little formal or proper education and their kids and grandkids for the most part turned out fine. So what is stopping african americans who are of the same age?
