It doesn’t appear they’re actually invading homes. They do appear to be invading property.

Is Minnesota playing politics with the topic of illegal immigration?
Is Minneapolis?
Is Trump allowed to counter their politics with his?

Well then why even qualify your statement with “isn’t some huge violation of freedom?”
Because Tx Tiger said that every person who was detained by ICE who didn’t have a criminal record was an example of violation of freedom.
If you’re not going to follow the argument, don’t jump in the middle of it and look like a fricking idiot.

A guy I worked with in a past job makes well over $150,000.
He pays some ratchet chick a few hundred a month so that he gets a subsidized apartment that she qualified for but he lives in.
He was working a no-show job for a government contractor and driving their car while getting mileage reimbursements for that contracting company’s car from his “main” job.
And he’d steal from department stores.
It is a way of life.

Why are you pretending to not play politics?
You’re framing this as a political issue when it’s a law enforcement issue. So you’re just as guilty at trying to make it political.

The cost to educate a child in Minnesota is $18,500. Assuming a child of an illegal immigrant is a greater cost than the average (primarily because of language services), it would only take ~10,000 children of illegals to cancel out the $200,000,000 in taxes they are paying.
That’s before a single SNAP benefit gets paid. Before a single emergency room visit. Before they get emergency housing benefits from the state of Minnesota.

Well that depends. “Stopping someone” without reasonable articulable suspicion of criminal activity is a clearly established violation of the 4th amendment. But I guess it’s all good since it’s not a “huge” civil rights violation according to 808bass.
Nowhere in my post did I endorse stopping people without an articulable suspicion of a violation of criminal law.
I’m pointing out Tx Tiger’s dishonest presentation of “detained.” I welcome your dishonest presentation of detained as well.

The poor blacks and Hispanics who live in this neighborhood couldn’t afford to live downtown. Liberals are fine using poors for voting and virtue signaling as long as they don’t invade their enclaves.
It’s 4 miles from George Floyd plaza to the convention center in Minneapolis. That’s quite enough distance to keep the poors away and the smell from wafting over.

A more important stat is currently detained versus ever detained.
Stopping someone, finding out they’re illegal and giving them notice to appear isn’t some huge violation of freedom.

How do they pay income taxes without SSNs?
When they falsify an I-9 form for their employer.
They might try to get an income tax refund on it, though. So it’s hard to say if they’re actually paying income tax.

Minnesota ranks in the middle-to-lower tier of U.S. states regarding its total number of unauthorized immigrants, yet Trump sends the largest immigration enforcement operation in the agency's history to that location.
The neighborhood where this happened is 40% Hispanic. The population of Minneapolis is 10% Hispanic.
Furthermore, Minnesota in general and Minneapolis in particular brag about their lack of compliance with Federal Immigration enforcement.

This is Chicago Ave around 48th street.
For reference, the shooting of Nicole Good took place at Portland and 34th street. Portland is about 4 blocks west of Chicago Ave.
