I hear you but this is the latest update from his sister.....
quote:

He is stable. He's not any better, but he is also not any worse. Currently, he is still in the ICU. He will have to be remain closely monitored, and another CT scan will come in the future to see if the bleeding has subsided any, which as of now, it has not.

Taz was coherent and alert for a little while today and was able to recognize his friends, but things like what year it is are still blurry to him. As far as his jaw and nose, nothing can be done until the swelling goes down, and the bleeding is under control.

The thread got kind of weird. Chappy was trying to get the OP to contact him (I'm assuming at the police department) because he said he needed to speak with her/them and she got all flaky about it.

I hope the dude is okay but this shite just happens WAYYY too much and the incidents are way too severe in Tigerland to just be dismissive about it and say, "Well, it happens all the time. Nothing we can do about it."

You obviously don't know the ramifications from that fight. The kid is fighting to stay alive. The BR cops better put some effort like what I mentioned in the aforethought. That was attempted murder, not your typical Tigerland parking lot fight.

TPOS does this. They attack people on the ground like animals. Too bad the TPOS weren't gunned in the the process of running away like true cowards.

What a horrible situation. Y'all must feel so helpless. I'm hoping for the best.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully he pulls through. Recovery from something like this is a long road.

Unless you are his family or have secret info, we both have the same amount of info.

Again, I hope I'm wrong but don't hold your breath waiting for the police to get involved

edit: I just saw the update, I'm not going to hijack this thread arguing about hypothetical police situations.

That is not that unusual. I spent a lot of time at the TNCC unit this past April visiting someone very close to me. What you mentioned is what I witnessed from someone suffering from a TBI. I will say that the staff there is exceptional, and I pray that he will have a successful recovery.

If this makes waves in the news, they might put some effort into it. I've dealt with them before on a few issues, and they really don't care about most crimes. I've handed them complete open and shut cases, and they didn't care. You have to ride their asses and harass them into doing their jobs. Call bosses and other government officials if needed. It's not easy work.

Sucks, but such is life in all big cities

Dealing with NOPD is even worse. The only reason people ever report crimes to them is to have paperwork to give to the insurance companies. Otherwise, I don't even bother

My tires and rims were stolen a few years ago when I lived in NOLA. I had to get a police report for insurance and it took them 8 hours to come to my house. When they finally came, two cars showed up.

Except Baton Rouge isn't a big city.

*edit - I looked it up .. It's 97th in the US. So it's a little bigger than I was giving it credit.

My condolences. I'll be sure to say a prayer for your friend in ICU and your family. I hope he pulls through.

Let's not stop in finding these frickers who did this.
