How could that possibly cost $45M?
They probably added in the cost of running and maintaining them, along with their commercials, because some boss said we need to show a bigger investment.

Oh, NVM. Collecting revenue. Oh well, at least they are doing something instead of just sitting in their cars.
Likely going for inspection tickets more than speeding... However, the cars on that part of Stanford are way too comfortable speeding way too close to the people walking the lakes.

Whoa this is what I give up! It's great for the reasons you said: it cuts out all non-"necessary" alcohol, encourages socialization, and should save money (depending on how social you get).
re: Did Germany ever have a real chance of beating the Soviet Union?

What was sent:
Trucks/Jeeps - 400,000+ Allowed the Red Army to move faster than the Germans could retreat.
Aircraft - 14,000+ Provided air cover while Soviet factories were being moved East.
Food - 4.5 Million Tons Prevented a total collapse of the Soviet home front due to famine.
Telephones - 1 Million Miles of Wire The "nervous system" of the Soviet army was largely American-made.
The Soviet win/survival on the Eastern front was much more of a joint venture than what's taught.

Without lend lease for the Soviet Union and American intervention the Nazis win.
This is the only answer -- according to Stalin and Khrushchev themselves.
"The most important things in this war are the machines... Without the machines we received through Lend-Lease, we would have lost the war." - Joseph Stalin
"I have always been convinced that the only way to help Russia was to send her the maximum amount of supplies... even at the cost of our own interests and at the risk of our own security." Churchill
Facing the threat of invasion themselves, Britain was sending tanks through Uboat waters in winter to the Soviets.
In the winter of 1941, during the Battle of Moscow, nearly 30-40% of the heavy and medium tanks defending the city were actually British-made Matildas and Valentines sent by Churchill.

The real killer are the golden parachutes they get. They’ll “trim the fat”, compromising long term goals and leaving the company exposed to when over performers check out after suddenly being expected to do the work of 2-3 for the same pay.
Then things begin to crumble. They get fired. And get paid 8 figures for their trouble.
100%.. Need a derivative suits on the boards for these awful contracts not tied to the LONG term progress of the company. Hold some of those golden parachutes in an escrow.

It's not. The kids love looking for the elf and seeing what he got up to/put himself. My son said he's sad for Christmas to get here soon, because it means the elf goes away.

There's a great book called -- really OP give it a read/listen. There's a reason the reviews are so good:
LINK
Mostly great recommendations. Temperature/any light (even very little) are the most important. Avoid sustained used of Melatonin or any drug. Alcohol affects sleep and ability to retain information (even if consumed up to 3 days after learning something new).
Early morning sleep spindles (5am-6:30am) is extremely important for a lot of people. Don't force yourself to wake up earlier to exercise in exchange for less sleep. LINK
Seriously give the book a listen.... It has changed a lot in my life!

It's partly because the republicans think that the "paying for someone else's liberal arts" degree polls well... when in reality a majority of their constituents' children are also in the same boat and just as concerned.
Like the boarder crisis... status quo is unsustainable, but all the politicians/media care about are the talking points.

You missed the part of the video where people have already paid back more than double the initial loan because of capitalized interest. The taxpayers didn't pay for their degree -- they did -- but they got caught up with a loan shark in the process.

Not to mention that my interest with a federal gov loan was 6.5 and 8.5% when prime was zero for nearly the whole repayment period...
I understand admin costs but the Fed govt is borrowing from itself and charging an extremely inflated interest rates. There's no way to refinance without losing the potential for forgiveness and forbearance etc.
An easy solution is to have the fed refinance the loans as you progress in repayment, so that you end up paying the original costs of the loan plus some nominal interest rate or something just over prime averaged over the repayment time frame.

No doubt the issue stems from Universities finding a way to spend the unlimited stream of income instead of keeping tuition consistent. Tuition almost needs to be capped and public universities will be forced to prioritize funding rather than relying on increased loans to offset.
The LSU UREC is likely not one of the main issues. That was voted and funded over like 20 years. I'd need to see a breakdown of tuition and university expenses. But with more and more classes moving online, it should be easier to start cutting costs.

well said lsugorilla!
Sleep is sooooo important as well. Alcohol in successive nights can hinder quality sleep. If you need to take a unisom early instead of drinking (if you are doing that), you'll pass out the same but feel a million times better in the morning.

Exercise & walking are key to a good mood. Hobbies are good for creating small challenges that you can overcome/better yourself, while providing a worthwhile distraction.

Exactly. This is answer. Depends on the amount of negligence. If you put a chicken nugget covered still boiling oil into a box intended for kids, you will likely owe some damages.
