So the person flipping a burger is incapable of joining the military? If its such a better life then why are they not doing just that?
Because it's hard work and they know it. Fast food workers don't want $15 solely for payment, they want it so they can keep their jobs that contain no skill and live off of it for the rest of their lives.

I hate this movement more than the Occupy Wall Street movement, mostly because I know most of these people are total fricking morons who can't even properly take a food order.

If fast food workers make $15, manual labr jobs are going to have to jumpt to at least $20 and starting skilled tech jobs $25. this is just nuts. $15 nationwide is too much.
Maybe in NYC or SF $15 is needed but I'm fine with it being $10 here.

Let them strike. They'll just get replaced after not showing up to work for a few days.
No educated person thinks this will work.

Was it really necessary for her to bring her dildo to the protest and wave it around in the air?

can someone go explain inflation to them?
So, you're a proponent for raising the minimum wage just a bit less?

Well the issue is a little more complex than this thread leads on....
A huge chunk of US manufacturing and many customer service-type jobs have gone overseas since the 80's along with the living wages common back then.
The people working FF jobs nowadays are largely not pimple-faced teens who care less. They're just as likely adults trying to support families. The FF workforce has changed dramatically since I was a kid flipping burgers at the mall. The only adult in the place was the manager.
Carry on but I assure you things are heading in an untenable direction not only in the FF industry.

I hope they get it....and I will laugh when retirees come back to the work force and take all their jobs......

George foreman + NY Strip Steak + bread = tastier than McD's for the same price. Good thing I never eat shite food.

What is hilarious about this is that 15 an hour isn't THAT far behind the average for first job out of college.
I didn't graduate high school, but it's just not fair that I can't afford the luxuries I see others have.
GIMMIE THEIR MONEY!

That's the thing about flipping burgers, you can find the next one just by stepping outside and asking anyone if they wanna make a couple of quick bucks. Hell ask the local wino if he wants a job. It's not very hard to find a replacement. And most of the time the wino is cleaner.

Um, that salary doesn't include housing and other benefits that typical civilian jobs do not include.
What are these benefits you are referring too? I did 7 years and the only benefits I got was when I went to medical I had a person with less training then an online LPN. lol. Don't even wanna talk about dental. Make an appointment tomorrow they might be able to see you next month. Now I know what Canadians go through. Also not everyone gets a housing allowance. So free shitty medical and dental, which civilian folks also get. Free meals..? Looks like the civilians are eating better.

I just left Burger King and on the way out I wanted to tell them they don't deserve more than minimum wage. What a bunch of rude idiots
And I worked at BK in hs. It's a very easy job. I don't understand how they can frick up. And then be rude about it
