This is a ranking of who’s hood rats shoot each other the most.

My family has lived in Baton Rouge proper for the last 50 years and don’t even lock their doors.

Surprised Chicago isn't on the list, and St. Louis is #1.

Austin has over a million people city property nearly 2 million metro and is one of the most liberal cities in America. They’re considered one of the safest larger cities in America. I think it’s rare for them to have over 35 murders in one year.

bullshite list.

Chicago is deadlier than any of those cities.

And St.Louis is only on there, because they are not part of a County(only a few in country), where as Chicago is, and can claim the crime numbers from the burbs in their numbers.

Where as St.LOuis Cannot claim St.Louis county.

If St.Louis was part of a county(stlco), they would be in the 20's in crimes per, and become 9th largest city.

Also, Parts of Illinois are included with St.Louis City crime stats(fbi), which is also bullshite. East st.louis, Venice, brooklyn, etc are also included in stl numbers.

Dumbshit

Chicago had 510 homicides in 2019

St.Louis had 193
Detroit had 272
New Orleans had 119

Chicago wasn't far off from having more deaths than those 3 cities that rank yearly in top5. Stop falling for the Chicago BS.

Not trying to minimize crime here at all, but let’s put this in perspective.

St. Louis, the most “dangerous” city on the list has a murder rate of about 60 per 100K residents.

The safest places to live that still qualify as metro areas are something like 10 per 100K.

So you have a 0.06% chance of being murdered if you spend a year in the “worst place you could be”, and about a 0.01% chance in the “safest” place you could be.

The report is talking about murder rates, not absolute numbers.
