The gofundme should be for the lady in the house killed and her dog.
Yea, I find it disgusting. I hope the lady's family gets it all in the lawsuit.

The steering wheel is fine for high-speed driving, your hands are in the correct 3 and 9 positions and you don't need very much steering input at high speed. Where people struggle is low-speed maneuvering.

If only Florida had, like cities, with names and shite, so we could know which part of Florida this occurred in. That is some fine journalism there.
I clicked the link to the Tampa bay times, 3 of the first 4 words in the article, and found out palm harbor.

At least no fossil fuel was consumed.
Well except for the natural gas power plant that generated the electricity that charged the Tesla.

Florida Man loves the steering wheel, said it makes him feel like he's Nikita Mazepin.

The OT told me Teslas catch on fire all the time. Why didn't this one burn after 116MPH impact?

Held up for a modern car

That is better than feeling like Alex Yoong or Chanoch Nissany. Nissany famously had to be lifted out of a gravel trap by the crane while still in the car because he didn't know how to take the steering wheel off...

Good. i was able to use Google and find it also. It is a shame it was not in the first paragraph of the article linked in the OP. Piss-poor journalism.

It was brand new and he didn't have a chance to fill the tank up yet.

Who would’ve seen this coming when they produced a sports car with a sub 3sec 0-60?
The homeowner surely didn’t

Doesn't Tesla have something called "Launch Control"?

the Tesla had been purchased a few hours before the crash
They do drop in value right after you drive it off the lot though

I would really like to know if the driver struggled with this stupid fricking steering wheel at high speeds.
I thought they couldn't legally use those steering wheels, so they don't come with the vehicle on purchase.
