Ouch. I hope she's feeling better. Strep sucks. I've only had it once and it's not an experience I care to repeat.

When I was renting an apt my rent was from $700-$900 a month for a one bedroom in PHX(I lived in different apartments).

We rent a 2000 sq ft house with backyard and 2 car garage in Scottsdale for $1400/mo.

Houses for sale in our neighborhood range from 250K on up.

Diet coke while I sit outside of class waiting for it to start.

Lunch after this class. Unsure where but jones dropped me off so I wouldn't have to walk from commuter lot so hopefully he will have lunch ideas.

That is for our neighborhood pilot,an older neighborhood with homes from the 60s....not north Scottsdale.

I'm sure there it's like 400K on up...at least.

But yeah, you could buy a nice place here for 400-500K

There's a PayScale Cost of Living calculator you can google. Looks like BR housing on average is 41% cheaper than there. Overall, BR cost of living is 21% below Scottsdale. The only thing showing more expensive in BR is health care, by 2%.

Yeah but this is the valley area. You can easily move to Phoenix or Tempe or Mesa or Chandler or Gilbert or Glendale or North Phoenix and still be in the valley area.

Scottsdale is the most expensive to live in out of all of them. But there is a reason for that...it's much nicer than all of them.

We hope when we actually buy a house we can still afford to buy in Scottsdale cause it really is nice here. Great public schools here as well.
