That too, although we don't play golf. But going to the PGA tour event here coming up soon is always a fun time. Great people watching.

Barrett Jackson auction is going on now as well(if you are into cars). My husband and his dad going to that tonight while I go to work.

Arizona RN Salary: $34.32 (hourly wage); $71,390 (salary)

Louisiana RN Salary: $29.45 (hourly wage); $61,260 (salary)

from a quick google search

That's what I was gonna say. I know a few RNs and two NPs and they make 60-70 easy at the BR hospitals and clinis.

I'd take 60k in BR over 80k in Scottsdale.

That's it? That is very low for an NP.

No difference than in BR.

In fact...milk is actually cheaper here($2-$2.50 a gallon)

Car insurance much cheaper as well

I'm going to say there are things that make up for the differences. DO you pay higher property tax(rent), Prop tax on movables like your vehicle?

Also, registrations , inspections, drivers license fees, speeding tickets, dwi costs(not applicable to you. :)), costs of doing business there.

There are LOTS of factors in COL. I've lived in 3 states. It's pretty frickin cheap in BR. Even small town MS charged me $500 a YEAR use tax on a newer vehicle. That was a pleasant surprise.

VERY easy job and no OT in a clinic. I'd say that's damned fine salary for 38 hours a week 8-4 ish, never a night or weekend.

Personal preference then

Many would say otherwise though and would rather Scottsdale over BR any day. Many do, considering how many people from other states move out to AZ every year. I know more people from other states here than people actually from AZ.
