Most homes will eventually be owned by gen z and the generation following. Unless Elon finally releases his fountain of youth pill for public sale.
Most homes will be owned by corporations/VCs/ or whoever has the most money. If Gen Z's can't currently afford a home, what makes you think they will be able to in 20 years with their B.S. in Indiginous People's Systemic Dreams. Starbucks doesn't pay that much
ETA: sorry, you are right, most of Gen Z's are either influencers or Onlyfan content creators so what the hell do i know

I was basically living in an extended stay chain when I retired. I was depart manager for a chain of 17 boutique surgical hospitals all over east and central texas. Having 17 facilities to manage independently, as each was co-pwned by the surgeons local to the areas, meant being physically present at them all.
I would take a long weekend and return to my home about every 6 weeks. It worked well for a couple years but it was probably the diet that lifestyle leads to that caused my health collapse and early retirement.

I mean if you take full advantage you cut out a lot of living costs/expenses with no maintenance/upkeep headache.
You also get a ton of points, so lots of f vacations paid for or essentially month or two of free rent if you choose the times to use points v. pay for the room. It is really something to consider for singles.

It's worth paying $2K/month to live in an extended stay hotel in a major city. I have done this several times.
What type of moderately reasonable place are you staying at for $66 a night in a major city?
