I played another game called league of legends for 10 years and met a group of buddies who all went to school together and knew each other in real life and I was the only 'outsider' who they played with for over 5 years.
They came to my wedding and met me and Amanda for the first time back in like 2022 and then one of them got married last year and me and Amanda drove to Ohio for their wedding and we got to see everybody again

We hear plenty of gunshots in my BR hood and most people says ‘oh that’s a nice area’ when I tell them where I live
where I grew up in NOLA was the same thing. There was a daiquiri shop close so there were usually gun shots. However, as for the rental - Treme is not a good neighborhood- never has been. People are enamored with it, I’m guessing because there’s a tv show named after it. But if you’re somewhere off of Banks St - it depends on where it is. Parts of Banks St are better than they used to be.
Same thing with Freret.
Just be careful, but that goes for any place.
