There are so few black rodeo riders it is probably a good thing to have a special event that highlights them. It helps recruit more black people to the rodeo lifestyle who might never even attend such an event.

I think I’d have a lot more common interests with the folks attending the black rodeo, as opposed to the whit boy slam dunk contest. And I played basketball in high school.

Both my stepsons rode bulls in college, so I've been to many rodeos. Almost all of them were predominantly white by a great margin. White riders and white crowd. And even though they weren't called," white rodeos" they basically were.
Maybe they just simply want a rodeo for themselves?

And I have absolutely zero problem with it.
It’s not like they are going to turn you away for being white.
