Don’t know how the spokelady for Popeye’s makes it out of this with her continued commercial presence. She’s great. But, it’s exactly in line with getting rid of Aunt Jemima.

I've heard that Aunt Jemima has racist origins, which I don't necessarily doubt, and that the family of the women who the photo was inspired on hasn't received a dime for the likeness(I can't verify this, only seen it through social media)
So maybe I could see wanting the change it. But quite frankly, I don't care at all. Aunt Jemima is the only brand I buy when it comes to pancakes/syrups. Most black folks don't care either. Heck I've seen folks say they not supporting this either, simply because they like to buy products with black people on the label
