You know it’s coming. Assault Rifle bans.

10 years ago some dude shot up a class full of 8 year olds & the gun laws are pretty much the same right?

I support the 2nd amendment but I’m not living in fear of losing it anytime soon.

The Democrats are opposed to fighting stolen gun crime at the highest priority.

How do you decrease that in a “woke” agenda?

Limit production of arms and ammunition and by 3021 it will decrease!

Oh, my bad, guys. A wall would stop illegal immigration as well as new gun laws stop violent gun crime. Sorry for the mistake in logic.

A wall is a physical barrier that impedes paths. Laws are social contracts voluntarily entered into between people. A physical
Impediment isn’t anything at all like a rule which by its very nature is not physical.

No one is disproportionately affected by laws. Some just break more than others.

Bans on "Saturday Night Specials" damned sure affected black people disproportionately. I can go to Academy and pick up a perfectly adequate .22 Magnum revolver for under $200. That weapon is banned in Illinois because it has a pot metal frame, and revolvers there are $600 and up.

What? So, the premise of a wall is or not more flimsy than a gun law? But each is/was applauded as ensuring the safety of America per Red or Blue? A wall means no more drugs, no more gun smuggling, no more illegal humans depending on it's height?

Splain.

The premise of a wall is less flimsy than that of a gun law.

If you live in the inner city, you'll probably get an alarm. Alarms are far from perfect, so you might get burglar bars. If someone thinks you've got 500 pounds of cocaine in your house, they'll likely get in anyway, but that does not mean your burglar bars were a bad idea.

Well who has all the ammo then?

The day we find out will be too late to do anything about it

Would they not be included in arms? “Common usage” has been used in the courts previously. “Common usage” of a firearm includes use of cartridges.

Why point out an inner city? You think that big beautiful wall was in one?

How many murders a year are committed with ghost guns?

It’s such an obscure thing to hang this whole argument on, like people with technical gun knowledge that build their own guns are the real enemies. I just don’t get it, they couldn’t have put their eggs in any other basket?

Fine. Imagine the same analogy, but with a ranch, cattle rustlers, and barbed wire. Geez.

The gun control thing used to really puzzle me. Why on earth would anyone advocate to have his own rights stripped away? You're not afraid of getting shot. SMU liberals don't live anywhere that's likely to happen.

I think I've figured it out, though. You don't have any goal beyond annoying the faceless, uneducated mass of rednecks you imagine gun owners to be. You see that guy in the F-350 "rolling coal" with a Punisher sticker on his back glass, and to you that's a "gun owner." Frick that guy, right? What's the best way to screw him over? Gun control.

I don't like that guy, either, but people have a right to self defense.
