There are sexy workers in Jennings??? I don't understand how you can be a sex worker in such a small town without everyone knowing it.

I have worked a number of cases in which the ultimate charge was lower than the initial charge.

As we all know, it will depend upon the evidence, what the D.A.'s office think they can successfully prosecute, and of course there is always the thing of offering a plea bargain of a lower charge but with significant jail time to keep from putting the victim's family and loved ones through the stress of a trial. Working in forensics, I see things go down the path of least resistance more than I care for.

All of that said, the wishes of the family will also be a guiding factor with the D.A.'s office.

all things considered, this is the most likely outcome

manslaughter is still 0-40 so he can easily get significant time. what's the difference in say, 25 years as opposed to a life sentence to the family? and that way they avoid having to hear all those bad things about their daughter and a possible bullshite defense story that throws even more dirt on her

but you never know...if the family is OK with all of that and is gung ho? i don't see them dropping the 2nd degree charge

I doubt this sick frick cares... I have A feeling he may want to stay in the spotlight as long as possible... But maybe not.... But that would mean A Trial... He probably has A public defender... GAG............ He is 25 and will do at least 40 years... BUT he SHOULD get life.....

Having everyone reading that shite in the Baton Rouge Advocate is not easy either. Rumors and gossip is one thing, even if it is substantiated. Reading it in print seems to make the emotional knife dig and twist a little deeper.

Terrible tragedy. If anyone thought beforehand that this was anything but prostitution then you have your head in the sand. These girls are taking extreme risks for a few bucks.
when I saw this story on facebook, I saw a lot of "well sometimes you call a masseuse before or after an early morning workout..."

I still haven't seen any of these links or pics of her ads online. Why can't they be posted at this point for those of us who missed it in this thread?

yeah that shite goes on in areas of town where most posters don't go

it's not nearly as big of a deal in lower class culture

we're not talking about areas of high concentration of college degrees and red brick houses

This comment.. "She doesn't even look like that type of woman".. Well, then that's it. You are only guilty of something if you look the part.
Your dumb arse made this same comment earlier in this discussion. Now you flip stances. Nice job.

I only read first 15 pages, so SIAP, but what is the chance that she was trying to steal drugs from the guy that she knew he had. Maybe a repeat customer

For some of us it is simply kicking into another gear. We have our assets, our retirement, the kids are out on their own, the wife (defendant)is out on her own ........ no my friend, if you have played your cards right, life is just cranking up into another stage. Trust me, it's not bad ...... not bad at all.
