Let me ask a friend of mine who works in a circumcision clinic. It’s a strange job but he says he gets 800 skins a week, all the tips he can handle, and a chance to get a head!

Supposedly there is a procedure where they cut something in the area around the base and it is supposed to get you an extra inch or so, screw that. Bob Crane, the guy that played Hogan on Hogan's Heroes had it done.

An ICU patient of mine had a penis implant that became infected. Surgeons removed the implant and started high dose IV antibiotics. Eventually had to amputate. Still couldn’t stop the infection. They then had take him back to the OR to open his testicles, removed both testes and begin twice a day packing of his testicles with betadine soaked gauze. He became septic and never made it out of the hospital. His last month of life had to be about the worse I could ever imagined.

Where did this take place?
When the implant was removed, a washout is done to eliminate most of the infection, followed by antibiotics. How did the surgeon manage to screw this up?

At a teaching hospital in NYC. I think the screw up took place by 1 the patient waited too long to be seen and treated and 2, the surgeon was trying to minimize the damage with the first surgery instead of performing a complete removal of all infected parts. Regardless the end result was fking awful. Dude was rotten. I can’t recall what cultured out, but I remember him being on several IV antibiotics.
