I've been there man. The best advice I can give you is find things to do to keep busy and have some flings with girls you have no interest in really being with. Eventually, you'll go from hurt, to numb, to angry, to ok again.

setting goals, seeing progress in achieving those goals, and realizing competency in the behaviors/skills around those goals are basically the path to happiness as a human. we are not a stationary species. we evolved because we were insatiable and relentless. we were the one species that said "what is over there? how do we get there? what do we need to create to do this?" and kept on doing that
when you combine that with the utter insanity that any of us exist at all, it should be pretty inspiring. if you go down the hole thinking about the infinite number of things that it took just so that we could be alive at this very point in this very universe on this plane of existence is literally beyond the comprehension of our brains. i mean just the combination of sperm-egg that created us is almost beyond belief, let alone the thousands of sperm-egg combinations that were required for our lines to get to the point of our conception

even if there is an afterlife, we won't have free will there (unless our "afterlife" is reincarnation via energy transformation among living beings). in our living, conscious state, we only have one life. we only get to make one choice at any given moment. we cannot change the past and cannot predict the future. all we can do is live in the very moment of life at any given point
