This isn't what's happening. Between two extremes there is a whole lot of room for varying opinions. This doesn't have to be a polarizing issue.

You'd have to pay me a shite ton of money to be a cop, and I'd have to have a black partner with me at all times.

The whole mantra and wording of these situations needs to be changed. Instead of "cop kills unarmed African American", they should read "uniformed thug kills plain clothed thug".
I really do believe that's generally what's going on. The young AA male community would experience a much lower mortality rate as a whole if they didn't run from, then struggle with cops that ultimately catch up to them, especially while holding oxy. The article didn't say if it was prescribed to him, and yes, I'm assuming it wasn't. But based on the mitarization, attitude, and general arse-holery of a large percentage of the police force, one can't hardly blame them.
Two completely intolerable situations, about which nothing will change, as long as it doesn't effect middle, white, law abiding America. And THATS the real crime.....the fact that middle, white America stands idly by, watching a thuggish black underclass being victimized by a thuggish, jackbooted police force, strictly because criminality is now an industry to which most jurisdictions in this country are financially, and whorishly married.
The whole process is sickening.

Much lower?

Much lower? Only a few die while fighting with cops.
I'd like to hear his thoughts on "young AA male community" crime upon each other in large urban cesspools. Seems he's swallowed the progressive meme hook line and sinker.

My guys are facing more resistance in the past few weeks than ever before. It seems that most traffic stops and calls with the real criminals now is a lot more tense.
The stops and calls with the average Joe hasn't changed much. They do empathize more with us now though.

I've never punched a cop or resisted being detained.
I've never been shot.
I don't know if there is a correlation or anything but...there is a fricking correlation.

Shocker, me too! As a matter of fact I have never even been arrested! #ILoveBeingWhite

Amazing how that works out. I tell people that if a officer treats you wrongly there is a time and a way to fix that problem. A lot of departments do discipline/retrain/fire officers for their treatment of the public. Some departments do not and I wouldn't ever work for one of those places.

Protip:
If you simply comply with the police and don't resist arrest, chances are you're not going to die from an interaction with them. Hell, if you act cool with them chances are they're not going to notice the fact that you have illegally acquired a substance thats in your hand or pocket.

I can 100% vouch for that!
