I like the "Rehab Addict" better anyway.
She’s her own kind of crazy, and I like it. Like it a lot.

Mike Holmes is the GOAT of home renovations. Fixer Upper and Rehab Addict are good shows though

So, every distressed house in Waco has had a wall taken out, and had the inside painted bluish-grey.
Job well done!

That very well may be true, but in my case, Mrs. Midnight is addicted to these shows - so they're always on.
And with Fixer Upper - I could predict the renovations before Joanna started talking.
"Open concept" - I knew what the colors were going to be - Chip and crew were always going to run into either electrical, plumbing or structural problems to add drama.
It isn't a very complicated show - it's familiar and comfortable, like old sneakers. And more or less completely fake on the whole design pitch, added drama, etc.

Good to leave on top. Before the fall. When you start seeing you name in the click bait “Chip and Joanna, you won’t believe..........” type ads. It’s time to move on.
You take people who were not famous and make them wildly famous. Also, make people who were doing well financially, and make them insanely rich, bad shite happens. See American Chopper. Pawn Stars.

How many more houses in the Waco area could they have redone for the show anyways?
Good for Chip and Joanna. They used the show to become successful and now can focus on other projects that will allow for them to spend more time with their kids.

How she is not a roaring alcoholic is amazing. That woman probably can't go anywhere without housewives clamor ing around her and buying her wine.

I like the Vanilla Ice Project. The renovations they do are ridiculous.

Except that Mike is not always right. I saw a show where they were building a deck and the said to use screws to attach the joist hangers. That is not true. Screws do not have the strength of the nails that are supposed to be used with hangers. Screws will pull things together better but the hangers have to have the strong nails to keep them from snapping off under a heavy load.
I understand him wanting things "built right" but that was a rookie mistake that should never have happened.
