True. That's why I CHOSE to not live a city. I'd rather drive an hour to work than live in a place where my neighbor can hear me cough. To each his own I guess

I enjoy living within walking distance of everything I need. I rarely use my car, other than the weekends. Proximity to other humans doesn't bother me. Like you said, to each his own.

All I asked was how far was folks neighbors. Other posters are the ones that started the shite talk, not me. It was a honest question

I never said it wasn't.

Thank you for a reply that wasn't a smartass typical OT reply. I, on the other hand, prefer to be " out". I prefer to not have neighbors very close and prefer to live away from the "action".

I think you got confused somewhere along the way. I'm so surprised about that, btw.

I probably have 50 neighbors within 100'(counting each person, not households). We'll probably end up out in the country, eventually, if my wife gets her way. I don't mind that either. I like both extremes but have zero desire to ever live in the 'burbs. Worst of both worlds IMO.

I feel sorry for all you unabomber types in your falling down shacks in the woods.

Grow up and get plumbing and real neighbors.

I live a good way out in the country. Used to live in subdivisions but personally I prefer where I am now. I'm on 70 acres and my nearest neighbors are 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile away.

Like earlier stated, to each their own.

Easy now, my fuzzy little man peach.

There are perks to both lifestyles. While the suburbs are awesome for having neighbors that can watch out for you and your kids (well, if you happen to live in a good neighborhood), there's nothing like living in the country!

I plan on eventually settling into a little ranch house in the mountains myself

Are you not happy for the others that are happy with where they live?
