Police command ordered confiscation of citizen’s legal weapons leaving them defenseless against roving mobs. Link?

Didn’t that happen after Katrina?
I was never given that command and never heard anyone else say they were given that command.

We are really in a pickle right now. Not yet 1789 thank God, but not good either.
Maybe more like the bad emperor period of Rome, where resources still existed but leadership hedonistically cared about nothing but themselves.

Society collapsed years ago. Just go to any Walmart or mall and you'll see.

America will collapse. It's already begun to the point of no return. I suspect upheaval after the November decision. If the Biden wins, there will be a lot of talking and kicking rocks. If Trump wins there will be death and destruction across the country. A Trump victory only delays the inevitable anyway. After this next term is finished, the left will reach complete authority mostly unabated.

In the 60's the JFK, RFK, MLK, Malcolm X and Medgar Evers assassinations, Civil Rights violence, widespread Vietnam War protests, early 70's the Kent State government sanctioned murders of college students, and Nixon's Watergate driven resignation.
Were chicken farms being burnt to the ground?
Was their a worldwide assault on cattle and the regulation there is now for small time farming?
Did China own hundreds of thousands of acres of farmland in the US? Was is strategically owned by many of our military bases?
Were 100,000’s of Chinese military aged males living illegally in the US in the 60’s?
What about 30,000,000 illegals or 1,000’s of islamic terrorist that have come across completely unchecked?
Did people in the 60’s have their entire lives integrated with tech as heavily as it is now?
Did people in the 60’s ever have to face the severe threat of our water supply, food supply, and all communication channels being shut down instantaneously because of all that tech?
We have faced chaos plenty of times in this country. We have even gone to war and killed each other for years. We are a violent war-mongering country. But we have never faced the amount of threats that we do in this country as we do in present day to an entire collapse. We were more secure from invasion during WWII, when the whole world had lost it’s collective mind for a bit, than we are right now. We are literally being invaded daily.

The men in that generation were some of the toughest in all history. Definitely could teach some of the males in today’s society a few things.
People adapt quite quickly. If the circumstances demanded men toughen up, it would happen quite quickly. And I didn’t know any World War Two vets who shunned air conditioning and other creature comforts that became available over the years. My grandpa was a paratrooper who fought in Japan, then came back home and played college football at a high level, but that didn’t stop him from eating too much, getting diabetes and dying way too young.

Now we know in an instant what every 22 year old justice social warrior lesbian transgendered Palestinian thinks
We also used to mostly get our facts from the same places (I am NOT claiming those 'official' narratives were always, or even usually true), so the task of debating in the public arena required a certain level of logical thinking and ethical consistency.
Now that 'news' sites, interested solely in drawing clicks, have inadvertently led us into thought bubbles, fed by algorithmic spoon-feeding, we don't even have the capacity for logical debate any more because we can no longer even agree on basic facts of the matter.
If there are no facts there are no starting points to constructive conversations.
As of 2024, a sizable portion of the right and left, fully believe that the other half the country are human filth, hellbent on gleefully murdering babies and chopping off dicks, or literal 'fascists', one step away from re-instituting slavery and establishing a dictator.
Those loud dumb voices drive the narrative now, and loud and dumb doesn't equal logical, ethical, consistent, or correct. But our cartoonish political leaders pander to vocal retards, and people buy in to whatever bullshite they're told to believe by whatever politician or pundit they allow to do their thinking for them.
The internet was Pandoras's Box.
