This is a pretty ignorant statement.

You can toss that in with the comment earlier in the thread about spanking being low-level parenting.

Or you are to ignorant to understand. I have had to restrain my kids, bear hug type, when they would get out of control to get them to calm down so they could be talked to in a controlled manner. Oh yeah,"this hurts me more than you" is ridiculous. Take parenting seriously and with half a brain you can get you point across and achieve the results you want without resorting to hitting the people you love. Just my style. Worked out great.

Spanking, done poorly, can be abusive, lazy, low level parenting, but spanking isn't always abusive, lazy, low level parenting.

How do you explain people who have kids (such as Rogan and Molyneux), but are against spanking?

They have a vastly different world view than me which I don't think, applied broadly, would be beneficial to children or society.

Not to squat down to your level, but is "doesnt" spelled correctly? It is just a fricking message board...get it?

But do they just happen to be kids who react differently, or is it more about their relationship with their parents/adults in their life?

Yeah, I can buy into that. I would say these broad statements, on both sides...me included, are very narrow.

Spelled correctly, just not punctuated correctly. You dont seem to know the difference between the word "to" and "too" and "are" and "or". But please continue to bless the board with your intelligence.

Many just happen to be kids who react differently. My two children are very different from each other in this respect. They just have different natural dispositions and they have to be parented (communicated to, disciplined, loved, etc.) in slightly different ways.

I'm assuming you're speaking to someone else.

Because I will take you over my knee...

Why would this worldview not be beneficial for society? And what is your worldview?

This is too broad to get into in this forum without lots of miscommunication and misunderstanding given the time I'm willing to devote to this.

I definitely understand what you're saying here. I just don't see why spanking is a necessity.

Alright. You brought it up. I think I might see why you think spanking is a good idea.
