It is literally the best-placed Mall in the entire state of Louisiana.
It wasn’t always the premier mall in the city. The Esplanade in Kenner was nicer and busier. But… Lakeside continued to evolve and remain somewhat classy while the other malls in the city turned to trash, with trashy customers.

Be happy you guys are supporting a decent mall. Malls tend to just be real estate time bombs. They last for 20 0r 30 yeras and then you have a piece of property no one wants

Yeh, Morning Call made a terrible decision when they moved out of that location across the street. Became nomads for a while and fricked up and lost their next location at the park as well.

Growing up on the northshore before the northshore blew up, we’d have to go across the lake to lakeside mall to do a lot of our shopping. Good times.

At one point and time Esplanade mall was the place to go and Lakeside was just surviving. You how that eventually turned out.

Once the pits migrated to other malls in the late 80s, it hasn’t slowed down.
