I don't want to retire and I don't want to live when my physical and mental capacity become limited. I like to stay busy and don't want to get to the point where I sit around waiting die and am a burden to my loved ones.
I don't think I will. My dad was a count hair from dying at 49 and has somehow made it several more years. I didn't inherit his health issues, but the men in my family generally don't live full life capacity (although war is part of the reason

I agree with this, but think I would have to be seriously incapacitated to want to pass on. I'm content to be an observer at times. I don't want to be a burden though.

I just don't see where life has much more to offer for me beyond that point, I don't see it being enjoyable wasting away in pain.
Wow. Do you seriously believe that people are wasting away at the age of 50 and not enjoying life? That's just wild. Damn, when my Dad was 70, he was shooting his age on the golf course and enjoying every minute of it among other things. I hope I get that lucky. Not the golf because I don't play, but still enjoying life.

I want to be here as long as physically and mentally able to enjoy life with my spouse and watch my kids grow and start their own families. I cant equate it to an age, but watched my father waste away and die of Parkinson's and dementia in his late 70's. I watched my mom reconstruct her life and she remains extremely active into her 80's enjoying the journey.
Setting an arbitrary age where I say something like I would be satisfied checking out in my 50's? Screw that, I want to hang around as long as I can...as long as there is quality to my life.
