I just hit $600 in my 2800sqft in Houston. And I was gone for a full week.

That seems high. Do you have an electric vehicle?

I have one so I’m sure that adds some to my cost because I don’t charge anywhere but at home unless I take it on a trip.

Yeah but that’s probably only 1.5 charges. She doesn’t drive much. I wish it was abnormal but it’s not. It’s mostly my ac running 24/7 because it’s a shitty design. I also need to switch REPs. Especially since my company owns one and I get a discount.

Since finding an R22 source and charging my unit up at the beginning of summer, it’s been staying around $200/per month.

Would be less if I wasn’t paying $23 in storm restoration fees & now a $5 municipality fee (thanks BR metro council)

Total bill for water, sewer, and electricity was $168.93 last cycle. Think that was about a $20 increase from the month before. My AC systems are new and I redid the weather seals and sweeps on the doors, made sure all the windows were well caulked, and pumped in a few bags of extra insulation into the attic. About 2,600 sq-ft HA with the thermostat set at 73.

Where are you located, Alaska?

No way are you cooling that size home in the south for that little money including ester and sewer.

I burn the shite out of my little Tesla. Usually charge 60% of the battery 5 days a week. Figure it cost me 60 to 80 a month.

The damn stray cats got all up under my trailer skirting and removed all the insulation. My 3 window units can’t keep up so my shite is it high.

Should have went with the tin vs the lattice shite. Them asbestoscats are the worst.

17 years old. Both are Rheem, and run very well.

I strongly suggest you keep those old girls running as long as you can. The new more “efficient” units are CRAPP !
Oh you’ll save on your electric bill, cause they’re always down. I’ve had 3 of 4 units down since 7/2.

The house we just purchased in Az the previous owner had purchased and installed solar panels. So an adjustment of -$125 and this month -$130.
I was never a proponent of solar panels until now.

$369 last month to $398 this month. 2800sqft with a pool. Mini split cools the bonus room. A/C set at 75-76 during the day and 72-73 at night.

Last cycle $145... This cycle $196... $196 is the biggest bill I have had in this house (17 years)... I set the AC at 80 during the day and gradually lower it to 71 and turn it off for the night...

Time of Use billing

Sounds like the biggest scam in electric billing.

People will remember the days when phone calls were like this. We would wait to call people across the country because it was cheaper after X pm. Now phone service has gotten so universal that long distance is included in most calling plans especially cellphones. Only time you may get billed is calling international, but some calling plans may have a few international minutes included.

Eastern Arkansas. Gas bill was $45.58 too. Electricity would probably be a bit lower if my fiancée hadn't been so obstinate on having the large oak removed from the front yard, shaded most of the eastern side of the frint of the house.
