S550 is 10x the car in every way. The tesla model S is so small, the backseat is awful. The S550 is the epitome of luxury and is the same price.
No thanks. I don't want a slow car that handles like a boat.

not at all, but when I need to fill up, I dont really plan on taking 75 minutes out of my day to hang out to recharge my vehicle if need be.

I think you are fundamentally not grasping the concept.

You do realize there are huge tax incentives for buying on right now?
Link? I ask because state tax varies from place to place. And, I don't think there are any federal tax incentives.

I get it, you're a hipster, its hip to drive an EV and spend 75 minutes to recharge it. Im old school, I own gas stations, so I think electric cars are silly. Id rather fill up and go on with my day.

Fed rebate of 7500
LA rebate is 8000-9500 on a model S depending on battery size.

I'm in O&G and not a hipster. Seems you don't really know what you're talking about.

Where is this at? Every charging station i have seen has a credit card slot for payment.

I literally work for an oil company. I'm about as far from a hipster as you can get. Keeping trying though.
You realize there is a fundamental difference between passively charging a car while you aren't using it and refilling at a gas station.

I live in Texas , so I guess $7500 is better than nothing.

Then you are pretty stupid. You don't make shite on gas sales compared to what you make in store sales. Wouldn't you prefer that people spend more time (and money) in your store than getting a few bucks of gas and driving off?

Texas rebate is up to 2500

Tesla charging stations are free, thats not the issue, imagine you're on a great road trip and you can stop and fill up gas in 5 minutes and be on your way in your internal combustion engine vehicle or you can spend 75 minutes to charge your tesla.....how exciting
But on a road trip, many people will stop to eat, right? So just eat while you're charging up, maybe you'll wait a few extra minutes, sure. But many people would gladly do that to save $100-200+ on the gas for a road trip, depending on how far you're going.
Not to mention, most families have 2 cars, just leave the Tesla if you're going on a road trip and don't want to wait. Problem solved.

bc everyone that owns a tesla thinks they're doing gods work and saving the world. Here's a study on why electric cars are worse for the environment than regular cars.

I got a rebate for my Volvo plug in hybrid xc90.

Dude, I know you own gas stations and stuff, but you are spewing BS in this thread. Also weren't you thinking of getting a Model S yourself? Looks like you got a Mercedes S class and are now needlessly bad mouthing Tesla. You better have some plans to turn your gas stations into electric charging stations in the next decade or so, or your inheritance will be worthless to your children.
