What channel are you listening to? On the dispatch channel they clearly said they're not letting boats in.

That is not the right channel. The Cajun Navy Dispatch

they are working with DPS and other local/state agencies and getting 1st hand info

The dispatch channel about 10 minutes ago told 80 boats en route to standby. I believe the lady running the show more than the random people on that channel...

Dude on Facebook complaining that he was growing tired of watching flood coverage so just had to flip it to ESPN for a change of pace. Stated how proud he was of local peeps in Houston pitching in to help out. The guy is a narcissistic type on Facebook, always posting how his home, his wife, his travels, etc.. are so perfect. Guess getting out and helping might mess up his manicure. Really tone deaf.

I posted him a reply with a link to this thread, since he's so bored and all

ACCEPTING DONATIONS OF GOODS

NEW ORLEANS: Evil Do Gooders Social Aid and Pleasure Club, 1200 St. Roch Ave. (St. Roch Tavern) 8/28-9/3, 12-3pm, nonperishable items *no clothes contact Tara Jill

BATON ROUGE:
Louisiana Cajun Navy 10000 Dawnadele Ave Bldg A (Costco - trailer) water, blankets, diapers, rice, beans, any nonperishable foods that may be cooked in bulk, Trucks will be going daily to Texas

LACOMBE: Starlin Daigrepont 60269 Velma Rd. (home), M-F before 2pm and after 5pm, *no clothing

COVINGTON: Northshore Food Bank, M-T, 9am-12pm, 840 N. Columbia (warehouse) 70433, nonperishable food, cleaning, *no clothes

Youth Education Service, 319 E. Gibson St. (Bouge Falaya Fitness Gym), M-F, 8am-7pm, after hours (place in box inside door) nonperishable items *no clothes at this time, truck delivery to TX by Fri, contact Karen Whitehead

ReLEntless Defender Apparel. They are working with Texas Municipal Police Association. They will be donating 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this shirt to TMPA. Talking with Wayne Stabilers catering about going up there to serve food for a week if needed. Right now we're just waiting on them to get the go ahead and then we're headed that way. It may be after the rain stops. Good luck to all of you out there

Ascension parish donations can be dropped off at the Lamar Dixon expo center from 9 am - 4 pm daily. They are accepting basically everything EXCEPT clothes.
