Who doesn't buy liquor if nothing else before a storm. That's like hurricanes 101.
Checked radar and she's heading practically due north still on a heading to directly over Lakeland.
Velocity radar has a max wind about 140 mph, which is above the ground by a bit but there is potential there for some big gusts as what's left of the eyewall blows through over the next few hours.

Last post I saw from her was when the northern eye wall was near/at Bonita Springs. That was probably 4 or 5 hours ago. Her power had already gone out and she doesn't have a generator. Internet and cell service may be out as well. The storm surge threat did not develop as feared, so I doubt she's flooded.
Hopefully, she consumed a couple or five gigantic vodka drinks and has gone to bed early after a few long days and a sleepless night last night.

Yeah even the winds in Marco Island just downed a lot of trees, no real big structural damage. Good thing it did not come in any stronger. Bonita Springs should be fine, just no power/cell towers
