Let him do a timing chain on a "hot V" BMW engine sometime. WRT to his comment on Audis, you have to drop the subframe on them too for most of that. On some, the front driveshaft went THROUGH the crankcase. He's probably never worked on any Audi other than the baby ones that are tarted up VW MQB's (Golf/Jetta). Those are simple. V engine Audi's are notoriously bad to work on.

There’s a lot of blue collar jobs where the top of the profession can do really well. The issue is that if you can make it to the top of that profession, you are much better off going into management or owning your own company.

Wrong again. I usually work in my home office or from my office at corporate headquarters. I’m the Caterpillar product manager over wear parts (that’s undercarriage and ground engaging tools) in Alabama and the Florida panhandle. I do nothing with rentals. In fact, I rarely interact with anyone outside of either Cat or Cat dealers except when one of our field reps needs help with an issue at a customer site.

You seem very angry and jealous. I’ve noticed a pattern with you. Anytime there is a thread about any career, you have to come into it and shite on whatever career being discussed and try to convince everyone how you make more money than them. It’s very important to you to impress people. Your pathetic post earlier about being 25 sitting in an office with 5 weeks vacation is a prime example. To those of us in the real world, we immediately smelled the complete bullshite of your post. No one believed it. We all saw it as the lie of an immature boy who has no clue about the real world. You don’t work in an office. You don’t have 5 weeks of vacation. You don’t make six figures. You probably make closer to about $30K a year at best and probably have no more than 2 weeks vacation. If I had to guess you probably work in a call center and live in your mom’s basement.

We know you’re at most an entry level peon who is desperate to impress others. Your behavior is embarrassing. My guess is you work in a call center. You keep trying that line but it’s not working because again you’re wrong. My wife stayed home with the kids when they were little and went to work in the school office when our youngest was in middle school. She didn’t have to, but she wanted to be at the school either our kids. Now our oldest is grown and on his own and our youngest is in her senior year. And my wife now works in the real estate division of an attorney’s office. She enjoys her work and gives her some extra spending money. If you had a wife, you’d understand. But the only woman in your life is your mom so you don’t.
