Are really going to compare a pit bull to a trembling rat? Yes they can be mean, but not like it will rip the throat out of a toddler mean, just maybe needs a band aid mean.

Some dogs inherently retrieve with little to no training because its what they were bred to do. Some dogs were bred to maul other animals. It's also inherently in them to do so. The nice pitt bull can't help what's genetically in them and it's only a matter of time in most cases, until it gets switched on. It's not the pitt bulls fault. It's the people's fault for putting a dog capable of mauling in an environment that gets other people hurt. Yeah, and I don't care for pitt bulls either. Sorry

In most cases, its the owner of a pit bull thats in desparate need training and a life skills in general.
It would be cool to see the IQ levels of dog owners and compare that to the IQ level of a pit bull owner.

I swear people think breeding doesn’t matter. It’s like they believe all of these different breeds just appeared out of the sky, and they are all a blank slate, with temperaments totally dependent on their training.
Pit bull type dogs were/are bred for aggression and fighting ability. They are more likely to harm people, because they were designed to be aggressive and violent.

Most of the OTs hatred of them is so they can appear to be "cool" with the others.

My brother had one. He said it was beautiful and raised it to be sweet. Then one day it attacked a kid in his neighborhood for no reason. He agreed to put it down rather than be sued.
