Only a properly fitted N-95 reduces transmission.
Being a "medical professional" I am embarrassed for you that you are apparently ignorant of this fact.

I thought she may go postal on me and was somewhat scared when I got out to pump gas.

Masks have been nothing but a virtue signal for over a year now, science or logic has nothing to do with it.
