I dumped nearly all my stock at the end of January/early February too.
Wuhan, a city of 11 million people, implemented a complete quarantine on January 23rd. For folks paying attention, a major stock market hit was a highly likely outcome. I certainly didn’t think we’d get all the way to this, but it was pretty clear that at least global travel and trading would take a major hit. That was plenty for me to sell.

I don't believe you. Regardless, the point is that our politicians, the people that are supposed to be representing and protecting us from these very crimes, were downplaying this crisis and falsely stating that this was not something to panic about in order to give themselves and their wealthy friends time to sell before it crashed. There are recordings of them in meetings with rooms full of a select few wealthy individuals stating that shite is about to go down and there is an impending crisis, while at the same time they are out in public downplaying and misrepresenting to the general public. That is unethical and immoral and should damn well be illegal. This is a clear example of how our politicians serve the wealthy above all others and it's complete bullshite. The money made from these investments needs to be put back into the pockets of the people who lost out due to this and the politicians need to go to prison.

One of the biggest cities in the world was put under complete shut down, the world health organization declared an international public health emergency, and there were already confirmed cases in the US. It didn’t take warren buffet to know that things were going to get worse before they got better.

Your dense arse is missing the point. Our politicians were saying everything from 'there is nothing to be worried about' all the way to 'this is an outright hoax'. Meanwhile they are selling millions in stock and telling all their wealthy friends the truth about the matter because they know full well a crash is impending. They were purposefully downplaying this while selling certain stock they knew would crash and buying stock that they knew would do well because of the impending crisis. They lied to the general public and tipped off their wealthy friends. Had they not lied about the severity of this we would have all known to sell! They need to give the money back and they need to be thrown in prison.

I have a friend who is a commodities trader in DFW, he's usually living paycheck to paycheck.
