Bilbo Baggin's on Bossier City gets my vote for outside of Baton Rouge. Median age is 22 to 60 it seemed. No one went there to pregame nor was it a main attraction. It had no identity. Was right under interstate with thousands of apartment goers within walking distance.
Don’t you talk about Bossier’s favorite bar like that!
Seriously though, that place sucks.

Pelican house was great when it first opened.

This. They should have embraced being a music venue. The few times I went for those Captain Green Family Jam nights were always a blast. The setup was great for it.

I’ve driven by this place for decades but have never set foot inside. Apparently, I haven’t missed much.

It’s vacant. That place needs to become a store or restaurant. No bar will ever make it there, especially with Bogies and Mellow Mushroom next door.
my fellow visionaries and I have long debated this topic and the popular conclusion is make it a Mary lee. Tough to find quality donuts around campus.

This or the Corner Bar in Carlyss back in the day. Would love to see Tatford interact with a bunch of coonasses.

Not sure if a Mary Lee's could make it there. There is one right down the street on perkins between acadian and college.

Hmmm...i recall that place years ago. It was like a trailer bar that we only went to due to crawfish. You are right...what a gold mine with proper management
That place permanently smelled of vomit.

There are many neighborhood bars in NOLA with similar characteristics: permanent lingering sewage smell, filthy tap lines, and floors that aren’t level in the places that have raised floors.
The dirty lines result in awesome hangovers.
