Previous low-level convictions and arrests for marijuana will be pardoned and expunged.
When is this coming to VA? Asking for a friend?

This more how it actually works in the real world. You don’t cure drug problems by adding more drugs to the equation. That’s a pretty moronic premise.
Well, actually you do. Addicts are not addicts because they predominantly enjoy the drug. Addicts are addicts because of inner pain driven by other aspects of life. By legalizing it, setting up a reliable source of pure and readily available supply (lets say heroin) that is distributed through clinics for free under the stipulation that the patient receives counseling and therapy for the source of pain and life issues that are driving the addiction, then you can slow the consumption down dramatically and ween off over time as that patient’s life begins to become better. The illegal market can be eradicated over time. “Should I get my heroin from the streets where its cut up and shitty and I have to pay for it by sucking dick, or I can go to a clinic, get a meal, get it pure and for free and also receive therapy? Hmmmm” Job placement can be another phase of this treatment program as it can fight homelessness as well along with crime going down drastically, STD’s going down drastically, suicide going down, etc. All hell would not break loose due to legalization, in fact the inverse would happen. Switzerland literally did this and eradicated their heroin crisis. But our society is far too corrupt and doesnt have the balls to implement a program like this.
Johhan Hari on Rogan Experience discussing how the Swiss solved this problem
And this is a thread about marijuana, which is laughable and embarrassing that so many Americans are still so flat out ignorant to it’s legalization.

I didn't know Switzerland did also. Portugal did it 20 years ago and the stats on recovery and costs savings for the country is mindblowing. But let's keep our head in the sand because oh i don't know Drugs bad mmmkay

I believe Georgia is very close to changing legislation on the state level to allow for use.
For real? That'd be great! Then I could drive to Bowdon, Georgia for lotto tickets and edibles. Make it happen!

It's eventually going to be legalized nationwide. The states that get in line first will see a massive initial revenue and tourism spike in the meantime.
If Louisiana legalized it (even if just Baton Rouge and New Orleans did) for recreational use before Texas, it would be massive for the state. It would help them recoup some of the lost economic activity to Texas.

Meanwhile, in Louisiana, CBD is the devil.
